A man recently released from prison attacked his wife during the night. She awoke to find the man leaning over her with a knife to her face. He put a pillow-case in her mouth and around her neck as he led his wife through the house. The woman was able to struggle away from the man and ran to her mother’s bedroom.
The man then forced his way into his mother-in-law’s bedroom, and also threatened her with a knife. The man's wife escaped out the window and ran for help.
When Snellville Police arrived, they found the man hanging from a a sheet in the attic. Officers cut the man down and transported him to Georgia Regional Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
Warrants for the man's arrest were issued and will be served when the man is released from the hospital.
